My first target is $300 a day.

internet Highway sign$300 a day is attainable in a fairly short time span.  That’s what I believe anyway.  It’s called internet marketing.

This will be acheived by selling information products on sites that I will drive traffic to with mainly article submissions.

I will sell information as an affiliate also, from Clickbank for instance.

Also, I will monetise all my sites with Adsense, Amazon, PayDotCom, Ebay, etc…….

Oh crumbs, I just realised I haven’t got any way on this blog to capture names and email addresses.  I’m counting on you to keep coming back until you can sign up to my email newsletter.

I’m off now to submit an article to Ezine@rticles.

You never stop learning, just do it! Hence this blog.

Links in a chainI’ve learnt a lot.  I will share what I’ve learnt with you.   As I learn more myself.

This blog for instance.  I want Adsense Adverts on it.  That’s something I have to do soon.

Links are something I have to learn how to do.  Such as a link to RoboForm

RoboForm has been a lifesaver for me.  It remembers details such as your name, address, etc, and passwords for all  sites.  Saves a heap of time.  And I use the free version.  I suggest you get it.

A newbie for two and a half years

Man holding moneyI was first introduced to internet marketing over two years ago when somehow, I heard about a World Internet Summit happening in Sydney.

That was the beginning of my addiction to internet marketing.  I wanted to buy the courses/programs of every speaker over the two and a half days of the summit.  In the end, I chose Stephen Pierce’s because it was one of the cheapest at nearly $2,500 and seemed to have everything anyone would need to make a fortune.

I was excited.  Anyone who would listen was told how much money I was going to be making soon.  I had no idea HOW I was going to make this money, I just knew it would come.

Stephen gave value for money.  I was downloading stuff for days.  How could I NOT make money with all these goodies?

For the next 40 months or so, I joined lists, read, bought books/courses/programs and software.  Just about anything I read about, I HAD to have.

It took me a long time to realise that I could NEVER use all this information.

Don’t get me wrong, I have made some money.  I have made a small amount since I attended that summit.  I actually made all of it after submitting one article to many article directories using Unique Article Wizard.

Things are coming together for me…..  My ideas about how to do internet marketing have changed….  I no longer have the urge to collect and accumulate ebooks, programs courses and reports.

I was (am) an addicted newbie

can of spamOk, I admit it.  I’m a sucker for a well-written sales page.

Many, many times, I have promised myself that I wouldn’t buy anything else to do with internet marketing.

There is so much stuff on my hard-drives that it would take me years to read a small portion of it all.  I’ve even bought some things twice.  Whenever I want to buy something, I have to do a thorough search to make sure I haven’t already got it.

The start of my downfall was when I started to join giveaways.  My details were added to so many lists that a few times, my inbox has reached almost 25,ooo emails.  Right now, there’s a dash over 11,000.

I’m starting to get them under control.  There’s a very noticable trend forming.  Only a small percentage of the marketers that email me actually contribute to my knowledge without only trying to sell me something.

Here’s how I’m bringing my emails under control.

1.   Changed from Outlook Express to Thunderbird.  Outlook Express was choking under the number of emails I was getting.  ( I keep all my emails – hate to think how many tens of thousands I have )

2.   At the moment, I get over 200 emails a day.  I know, it’s crazy.  There’s an addon called Tag the Bird.  I use this to tag any emails that have an interesting subject or are from a marketer I like.

3.   When the emails build up to over ten thousand, I sort them alphabetically and delete all from the same marketer that have no tags on them.  This way, I can get rid of thousands in half an hour or so.  I unsubscribe from any that are ONLY trying to sell me something.

Slowly, I’m getting the number of emails received down……
