How To Sit Down And Put Great Content On Your Blog

You’ll need a string of good content to bring in readers, now that you’ve decided to blog. This good content also serves to bring them back-with friends. Here are a few tips that will help you create that good blog content.

Research the Topic
The more you research the topic, the more qualified you are and the more you sound like an expert in such matters. Visit other blogs on different subjects and you’ll see exactly that from the authors of those blogs. Go to search engines and lreference online dictionaries and encyclopedias for more information and look up known experts . This should definitely get you moving in the right direction.

Get Readers Involved
As you get more readers, you’ll also get comments and questions, of which you should definitely respond. In fact, ask your readers for their feedback. This engages them and involves them in the blog, though few may truly understand it.

It allows them to “buy in” to what you’re doing. Sports teams are very successful using this tactic here. When was the last time you heard a team announcer say: “And now, the starting lineup for for YOUR ….” People then call the team “us” instead of “them”.

Later, you may see a reader that is very knowledgeable (judging by the comments they leave and questions they ask). This reader is a good candidate to contribute a guest post on your blog. This smart reader, who may or may not have his own blog, has the opportunity to become known by more people just by doing this and providing good content to your blog.

Update Old Posts
As time goes on, you’ll accumulate more articles on your blog. Don’t ignore old posts. Update them with fresh, relevant and newer information. The early readers may have read them, but newer readers haven’t. These articles greatly expand the experience for new readers, and they’ll be encouraged to return for more.

Hire Writers
In order to keep fresh consistent material on your blog, you may have to hire a writer to contribute good blog content to it. You may run out of ideas, so why not consider someone who hasn’t? Whatever they write belongs to you because you’re paying them. The readers are coming to your blog for original compelling content. Give them more and more. They’ll keep coming.

Whether you research your topics, encourage reader feedback and contributions, update and refresh old posts for new readers and hire writers to keep the ideas and content flowing, you can help your blog greatly and add good blog content.

Free Blog Software Is The Best For Newbies

Starting a blog is not too hard if you know where to pinpoint the best free blog software available.

If you're a newbie, then you should start a blog-now.

What really is a blog?

A blog, short for weblog, started way back in 1992 and soon caught on and gained its nickname in 1998, when the popularity of the internet really began to take off.

Basically, a blog is a web log. A blogger, or one who writes a blog, can write practically every day, even multiple times a day, about whatever comes to mind.

Any readers could then comment and share with the blogger about similar experiences or feelings.

There are over 300 million blogs today, with millions more created-and abandoned, every day. Bloggers are not just sharing everyday experiences, they are also using blogs to market products and services made by them or others, for profit.

Starting a blog as a newbie can be a daunting task. There are so many blog platforms online today, but there are a few that are easy for you to work with. These are the free blog software platforms you'll be most likely to use.

You can choose from either free or paid hosted blogs. The most popular ones are blogger.com and wordpress.com. What's recommended for newbies are free blog software platforms.

These free types of blog software platforms are hosted by their owners. Blogger, which is owned by Google, is the host of its own blogs. WordPress.com owns and hosts theirs.

For example, when you start a blog using the free software platforms, the site will read as "http://www.yoursitename.blogspot.com” for Blogger, and :http://yoursitename.wordpress.com” for WordPress.com.

The drawback of having a free hosted blog account is that you run the risk of the blog possibly one day being shut down for good because you violated the TOS. Or worse. The free hosted blog generally is here to stay, but remember this: you do not own it. That’s the tradeoff. You can't put or take out of the blog however way you want, for the rules are quite strict and give less freedom.

Freedom isn’t free, it costs. You'll need a paid blog in order to do that. Yet you'll need more experience, or you'll need to pay an expert to set it up properly…

The 5 Traits of Mindset You Need to Have in Order to Make Money in Blogging

In order to make money in blogging, you’ll first need to understand that your mindset is very important to having a successful blog. These are the 5 most powerful traits to make it so.

Give Information Generously

When you put content on your blog, make sure that you give, give and then give some more. The most successful blogs that make money blogging give tons of content long before asking their visitors to buy anything.

I'd like to share with you this tip: request that readers give you comments and social bookmark that content if they like it. Remember that people aren't stupid, yet a gentle reminder at the end of the post encourages them to do this simple act.

When you're first begin, you must give to your visitors to entice them to return for more of your content. Give them something they can hold on to and enjoy, something they can refer to others, so that your readership grows.

After Giving Then Ask

Only after a good sustained period of time do you finally ask your readers to buy something. This is because you've built a relationship with them. They like you and your content because of it.

Finally after say, about at least a good month or two, you’ve built up a fair amount of trust with your readers. Now is a good time to subtly include a link or banner that leads them to a salesletter for this hot product or that can’t miss service. This is the most proper to make money blogging.

Be Regular and Consistent

Give regular and consistent content, whether it be 1X/day, 3X/week, 2X/week or 2X/day and so forth. Your readers will appreciate your content will come to expect to see it at regular intervals, so post regularly and consistently.

Don't post in a scatological, inconsistent manner. Your readers will lose interest, you won’t make money blogging and then you’ll lose them. Continue to post at the intervals they're accustomed to.

Report and Filter Your Niche

Whatever niche you’re writing about, be sure to be a reporter on the latest, cutting edge news and views in that niche. Report on the news and you’ll be seen as the go-to person when it comes to that niche.

Know also that you're the filter of your niche. When others in your niche are going crazy about a certain subject, you don't necessarily have to unless you or your readers believe that it's necessary.

Great Content That Brings In Readers

You can’t write fluff in order to make money in blogging. Many people write dry, useless articles and give other forms of content that doesn’t give the reader anything worth returning for.

If you want to make money online, remember that blogging has to be your key tool to bring more traffic to your salesletters, landing pages and product review sites that are linked to your blog.

Don't write or post content that just yammers and doesn't offer value to your readers. If they really learn something they didn’t know before, then that’s an excellent way to make your content super-attractive.

To begin to make money from blogging, you need to give constantly to your readers. Only after a certain period of time should you ask them to buy. Having regular, consistent content will build your readership and make your readers accustomed to hearing from you.

Reporting and filtering your niche will gain more loyal readers and establish you as an expert and leader in your particular niche. The excellent content you freely offer your readers will keep your readers coming eager for more from you later.

These 5 traits are integral and will put you well on your way to make money from blogging.

Start Blogging Today

1. Consider your audience
Even if your blog is generally personal, still, it would be better to consider the minds of your readers. You have to think of something that would interest them.

After all, most of the reasons of people who write blogs are not at all confined to their own personal motives. Most of them would love to be “heard” (or read) and would love to be known, in some way or another, even for just a minute. Hence, it is very important to come with a write up that everybody can understand, not necessarily that these people can relate to it but they can understand it.

2. Pictures speaks a thousand words
To make your blogging worth the browsing effort of your readers, it would be extremely nice if you will put some pictures in it. It does not necessarily mean you have to place a picture of yourself. Any photographs will do as long as it does not pose danger or insult to anyone who will be reading your blog.

3. Make constructive and beneficial blogs
Even if you are free to write anything you wan to say to the world, still, it would be better to create some write-ups that would be beneficial to your readers. After all, its information technology that you have there so better be inclined to provide information rather than sheer quirky entertainment.

4. Avoid making multifaceted and complicated blogs
In order to have an interesting blog, try not to use some highly technical and highfalutin words. After all, it is not a science discourse or a debate that you are making, so better stick to simple facts and short blogs.

Bear in mind that most people who use the Internet usually do more scanning than scrutinizing each site word for word. Therefore, it would be better to come with blogs that will not bore your readers just because you have these lengthy articles.

5. Make it interactive
As much as possible and if your capacity will allow it, make your blog interactive. Yu can do this by placing some video or audio clips in your blog.

You can even place an area for comments or for some feedbacks. In this way, you can get some impressions or reactions of other people. Who knows, you might even gain some friends just by making them feel at home in your blog site.

Indeed, blogs are not created just for the mere fun of it. It also has its own purpose in the world of the Internet. Therefore, for people who wish to harness their craft, as far as writing is concerned, blogs are the best way to do it.

As they say, blogging is the contemporary term of creative and commercial writing.

Promoting your blog posts with seo

Its important to write fresh content for your website daily if you want the likes of google to visit your website on a regular basis. Google tends to favor websites that post good quality content regularly, blogging is a good and effective way to write new articles and easily publish them on your website. One thing that is commonly known about blogging is its potential to attract hundreds of visitors which can either help increase sales or gain more exposure.

People tend to think that once they have published there article they dont need to do anything else. Well posting the article is just the start, even if you have optimized your article you may receive traffic for the odd keyword but for your article to become successful and seen as an authority site you need to get your articles ranked highly in google.

I'm sure your already familiar with link building and have probably spent some time promoting your main site, when you link build its best to build links to a variety of pages evenly rather than just your homepage as google will class that as un-natural link building. By promoting your blog posts you will be building links in a more natural way and will benefit your website in the long run i.e pagerank. If you want a website with high pagerank on all your pages then the one thing you will need to definitely do is link build to all your pages from good quality websites.

When I have finished writing a new article I have a set procedure for promoting that page which I have developed over time. When people think about link building they tend to think its a big task and will take along time so they either buy poor quality software or get any type of link they can get there hands on. Link building can be made easy from experience and other peoples experiences, there are some methods to link building which can be accomplished quickly and easily but there are other methods which require abit of you time.

The easiest way to promote an article is to submit it to the social bookmark sites as they produce instant links and targeted traffic for a short period of time. If you use a wordpress blog then there are alot of widgets which you can use that will add a link to submit your posts to the social bookmarking sites at the bottom of each page. There are hundreds of social bookmarking sites and there probably the most easiest sites to gain links from so this should be your first port of call when link building.

I would then start writing variations of the article or brief examples of it to submit to free article marketing sites with several links pointing back to my article. There is a unique network with over 12,000 website owners looking for good unique content everyday so article marketing has been made a hell of allot easier. With this network you are able to build good quality inbound links without doing any-work, I have noticed an increase in traffic and links since I have been using the service. The good thing about this network is if you don't like it within the first 30 days you can cancel your membership and get a full refund with no questions asked.
