You may think you are doing something wrong since you see others succeeding and you have not yet found the same success. You may begin to question whether you have chosen the wrong topic or possibly an unpopular topic. It is important to not get discouraged and question yourself. You can revitalize an old list or get yours up and going by following the below tips and guides.

~*~ Building Trust With Your List And New Subscribers

The thing to remember first is to build a strong trust with your followers and your new subscribers too. Trust is a very important part of any business model that deals with customers. When you build your list, your customers will want to know that you are an expert of the subject.

* Join some article directories sites and create 30 or 40 articles based upon your topic and submit these articles to the article directory sites. Do not submit them all in a day, spread them out over a time period of several weeks. Make sure that you have a filled out author profile and that you utilize the author resource box.

* Next join some related forums based upon your topic and jump on in and start providing advice and helping where you can. Let others know that you are here to help in any way you can. When you join a forum be sure to fill out your profile and include a signature file and remember to be kind to other forum members. Do not try to hide anything on forums, tell them your name and how old you are and the state you live in.

Ask your friends if they would be willing to provide testimonials or reviews of your products. Testimonials should be authentic and no editing should take place, also make sure you link to the persons website. If you have a good reputation on different forums, you can ask your fellow friends to provide a review of your products.

~*~ Find The Proper Fix For Your Customer Problems

Find a product or create a product that can be beneficials to others. If you have a great deal of knowledge about a topic, you should not run into trouble creating a product on the same topic. You can also search google for affiliate programs under your topic and research some great products that your readers could use.

* Make sure that you do your research, even if you already know about the topic you have chosen. You can use places like Yahoo Answers to get ideas on what people are looking for and what solutions they need to fix what problems they have. Once you have done the proper research it could pay you back 10 fold.

~*~ Making Friends With Other Opt-In List Owners

If the list owners have already launched a successful list it would be helpful to you and your business. List owners will already have experience in the chosen venture and the experience is always the best teacher. Since list owners have already been through it all, they can provide you with the knowledge you need.

Making friends with fellow list owners may help you because they could become a joint venture partner in the future. A joint venture will allow you and the list owners to promote a product and split the commissions that are made. This is especially successful when the list owner(s) happen to be using the same or similar topic as you.

Building these profitable opt-in lists is not going to happen instantly. There is much research and time that needs to go into it and the prepartions need to be properly done. As your opt-in list grows make sure to maintain quality and treat your subscribers very well. Be sure to keep everything very organized and if you need help feel free to ask your list owner friends. Be sure your subscribers remain happy and satisfied and they will be willing to buy from you.

How to Create Unique Content For Your Blog

The common element to all blogs and websites which have become popular is that they provide well-written content which is useful, informative or entertaining. If you want your site to build a large and loyal audience, you have to keep people interested by giving them this kind of material – but this can take up a lot of your time; how do the popular sites do it? What do they know that you don’t?

The best way to ensure that your site offers regularly updated, unique content which will interest your readers is to write all of it yourself. Especially if your site is promoting your affiliate marketing business, this is important since you need to establish yourself as an expert in your field and pre-sell your audience on the affiliate product or service.

You can write reviews including personal anecdotes about the product or service. These are a good way to personalize your content and make your audience more likely to trust your recommendations about products.

Using private label articles is a viable alternative. PL articles abound in the Internet and you can always buy some that are connected to your central topic and then place them in your blog. One way of maximizing a purchased PLA is to cut it down into several pieces, thereby maximizing its content.

Utilizing RSS feeds to post on blogs is becoming very popular, although not everyone is familiar or willing to learn about RSS feeds. The advantage to an RSS feed is that your blog is automatically updated with fresh news and content. The disadvantage is that it is not unique content and that anybody interested in the feed will likely click out on a story that appeals to them.

Writing your own content is unquestionably the best thing to do. You can get ideas for posts or articles from news sources – when you find an interesting story, you can write a piece summarizing the article. It takes some practice to produce compelling content from these outside sources, but with time you’ll be able to position yourself as a valuable news source to your readers. If you just don’t have the time or think your writing skills are not up to the task, then you can hire a writer or a writing service to handle producing your content for you. There are even blog services out there which specialize in writing new, unique content and posting it on your blog daily. You can specify the topics you want covered. Having professionally written, high quality content can bring you an increase in traffic (and if you’re an affiliate marketer, commissions) which will more than make up for the cost of the service.

These are the best ways to generate content for your blog. It is advisable not to be going with the automated path. If you do decide to do that, you will probably have plenty of content- but the substance of the text is unlikely to increase traffic for you. Putting in some good, old-fashioned content work will yield better results for you. As the expression goes- “you get out what you put in….”!!

Prevent Duplicate Content Issues

Preventing Duplicate Content Issues

This is a free guide written to highlight ways that you can help prevent google from finding duplicate content within your site. Duplicate content doesn’t necessarily mean you have copied someone else’s work it can also mean that google has found several different links pointing to the same content.

For example some of the most common ways of allowing google to find duplicate content is by link building to a certain page in different styles, so for example

domainname.com
www.domainname.com
domainname.com/index.php
Domainname.com/php

If you type in each url they will take you to the same page and display the homepage but if google follows those links it will be taken to the same content and think it is duplicate content.

At this moment in time there isn’t an automatic fix for duplicate content issues but google has implemented different ways in which you can help prevent your website from being penalised.

If you rely solely on search engine optimization to rank highly and to get traffic then I suggest you do some tests and research on your site as I’m sure you will find some duplicate content.

One way to check and see if you have any duplicate pages listed in google is by looking and seeing what pages are indexed.

You can prevent duplicate content by giving google hints, if you link build only link build in one format so for example I would use directorysubmissions.eu rather than www.directorysubmissions.eu.

Google has also provided a feature in the webmasters tool section which is free to use and provide valuable information on your site. Another great way to prevent duplicate content is by writing a robots.txt file and solving the problem before it happens.

Google has also released a new element which you can add to the top of you page and is designed only for google. The canonical element will tell google depending on how it came to your page what url you want to use, this is a good method to use when preventing duplicate content.

Get More Links With An Article Directory

Most people who build a website eventually figure out that the only way to make anything, no matter how cool your site is, no matter how great the content is – is that traffic is king. Without anyone seeing the product you are offering for sale, there is no point even trying. Think of it this way, lets say you invented the next great widget – you know it will really sell and everyone you have shown it to agrees that it’s the best. If you advertise in the desert, it does not matter because no one sees it. If you spend your advertsing dollars in a busy city, you will have success because everyone sees it. The difference is traffic. Article directories are like a gateway to the city from the desert.

Submitting your original content to an article directory is very easy, but first you need to do the keyword research. While this may seem slow and boring (or even a pain), it really has to be done to get decent results from your work. Keywords are used in the article, and in the link back to your site from the article directory. The search engines use the keywords that link to your site as part of the analysis for the ranking formula. The reason you need to do research is there is a fine balance between useless (as in never used search terms), and super competitive ones where it will be too hard initially to try to get ranking for. So when you submit your articles to an article directory, you want the keywords to have decent search volume, but not massive so you can get the most bang for your time.

Your article will be displayed with thousands of others in the article directory. Users needing content for their sites come to article directories and then grab content to fill in their site. Additionally, people subscribe to the RSS feeds from article directories that have them to get fresh content via RSS when it is published. Sometimes an article directory is also considered an authority by Google and others, thereby getting a link coming from that site garners more weight than from other links that do not have this authority.
