Beginners First Steps In Affiliate Marketing

Now that many people’s financial situations are getting even tighter due to the recession, the idea of earning online is getting even more engaging, and one of the first things many people find out about is something by the name of affiliate marketing. While there’s enough info out there to overwhelm most people initially, the basic concept is reasonably simple.

Market research is step one in the system.

First, you must research markets you have an interest in.  This is your most important place to begin, and you can do this by finding out what your future clients are searching for.  This is the quintessence of keyword research finding the particular words people type into search engines to find solutions to their issues, and you can be sure that if you do not do your analysis, you may regret it later.

By finding and using keywords that patrons are actively entering into the search engines, you’ll be able to help your internet sites and landing pages rank higher, generating a nonstop flood of organic, targeted traffic.

Keyword research doesn’t have to be a hard job, however.  Start with the free Google Keyword Tool, which can be discovered by hunting for Google keyword tool external, and enter in a keyword or phrase that identifies the product or niche that you have an interest in promoting as an affiliate .

Click on get keyword ideas to generate a listing of keywords and determine the competitiveness of the the market by looking at the quantity of times people are on the lookout for your principal keywords every month.

What you want to do is find a market with existing demand that also has existing competition and products freely available, but not so competitive that ranking highly is almost impossible.

What’s important here is that you remember there should be an audience for whatever you opt to market.  Since you are an affiliate , your costs for entering a market aren’t extremely high, but it is’s still an excellent idea to take the time to do niche research in order to dodge wasting your time.

The Weapon of a Samurai

Market Samurai is not just a keyword analysis tool; it is a full all round strategic marketing tool. With Market Samurai you can analyze profitable markets and identify the marketing strategies used by your competition and what you need to do to beat your competition.

You can do your market research on just about any market and choose which keywords are optimal for you to target, what the search volume of the keywords are and how many competing web sites are already marketing on those keywords. This can be achieved in a single click of a button.

Do this manually and it will take hours instead of minutes using this tool.

Image getting all the link backs your competition is using and what the anchor text of those links are.. other link back tools are available that currently provide this information (ie. SEO elite) but non provide for the full strategic marketing process like market samurai does.

Here are some of the marketing and research functions provided within this stand alone tool:

* On Page Analysis
* Off Page Analysis
* Domain Age
* Page Rank
* Alexa Rank
* Page Backlinks
* Domain Backlinks
* Keyword Synonyms
* Google Synonym Tool
* Google Site Keyword Tool
* Import existing keywords for analysis
* Add keywords individually
* Auto-filtering by Search Traffic data
* Auto-filtering by AdWords data
* Export Keyword List
* Negative Keyword Removal Tools
* and this is just a small sample of the functions available!

Here is an example of a project I have created and it shows how simple the process actually is.

The first step is to create a new project and add your initial keywords in. We then generate a list of suggested keywords. Market Samurai connects to the Google AdWords suggestion tool and pulls back a list of keywords and synonyms* direct. You now can go through and filter out any unrelated keywords for your niche. Once you have a keyword list you are happy with, move onto the next analysis stage.

Our next stage of our marketing research is to begin the keyword analysis and find exactly what the daily organic search volumes are and how many competing websites you have. At this stage we can also dig deeper and find information on the OCI commercial values of the keywords, the AdWord value of the keywords themselves and the yearly trend statistics.

From here we can further analyse the top 10 competing web sites for those keywords, how they rank, how they are optimised on and off page and the anchor text of the incoming links to their site.

This is just a minor part of this whole process and it was all carried out in a single tool in less than 5 minutes. Imagine using this process for all of your online business marketing and how much time you will save doing so.

This is a tool which I am very excited about and a tool that will be used my the majority of the internet marketing community once they find out how much benefit it will bring to them as a tool within there marketing resources toolkit.

Google’s New Keyword Research Tool

How to Use Google Wonder Wheel

One of the most important parts of any type of sales work on the Internet is Keyword research.

Yes, you might find the significance of Keywords hard to fathom, but unfortunately they cannot beoverlooked, particularly if you want to be seen, because it is these phrases that are the critical element to finding your content when anyone searches the net.

If you are financially strapped, you be finding money going out faster than it’s coming in. Google has come to your help, with a new addition to its search engine that’ll save you time and money.

Check out the video above, if you haven’t already, it’ll show you how to use it.

The Wonder Wheel, shows you how you might build your site content to several levels deep. This new tool is showing you categories then sub-categories, to a multiplicity of levels.

To make it straight forward, I started with ‘Dog Training’

This then produced a series of sub-categories: ‘Dog Training Courses’ Clicking on this sub-category produced the next level: Dog Grooming Training, Dog Training Instructor Courses, Dog Behaviour Training Courses.

It provides a clear indication of how to build your silo structure. The Google Wonder Wheel extends the boundaries of being a simple Keyword tool. It’s offering you with suggestions for Longtail Keywords. All you have to do is plug in the niche you would like to work with.

And the best part; this tool costs you absolutely nothing!

It’s rare Google offers something that is a gift for the beginner and experienced alike, but this time they have. Maybe they are giving us an indication of how we will be searching for information soon, and those who start implementing these guidelines are going to come out on top, who knows…it’s worth thinking about.
