I am working for eight companies and it is the year 2000. These are people who have contracted me to help them to obtain a higher ranking within the major search engines.

I have learnt rather a lot about SEO and website promotion up to this point mainly from reading the views of the established specialists from the industry.

I would usually work between 11pm and 3am is this is when my concentration seemed to be at its best.

1.20pm - I could do with some exercise therefore I decide to walk to the shops to buy a paper.

2pm - I drive to the tennis club as I have arranged to play a game with a good friend of mine.

6pm - I eat my evening meal which would normally consist of pasta or chicken and rice.

8pm- I quickly check my e-mails in a short break from watching the t.v.

The time has come to do some real work - believe it or not this is the time of the day that I love the most.

3.20am - I head off to gain some much deserved sleep. There must be easier ways to make money online.

This should have been the first alarm bell for this guy. Not to mention that this guy wasn’t sure how the list was compiled or how the people subscribed to this list.

It wasn’t even just one big mailing list, it was a bunch of lists stuck together.

If this guy does decide to mail to this list, he will be accused of spam, he will get into major trouble and he will NOT make any money worth the effort.

Never EVER send emails out to lists you don’t know anything about EVER. Never buy bulk email lists..

The reason is fairly simple; when you have a visitor to your web-site, you have just one opportunity for that visitor to take a desired action (i.e. bookmark, opt in, sign up, recommend, inquire, purchase etc.). Because I know that SOME of the people on the list will do what I want them to. It’s just human nature.. It’s called reciprocity. It’s what most religions are based on.
